Oświęcim – a treasure hunt with the Prasoł

Who is a “prasoł”? What are hidden in the mysterious gates under the Oświęcim castle? What are “bałwany oświęcimskie?” You will learn the answers to these questions by visiting the town of Oświęcim. If you have a weekend off, you do not want to be bored at home, you are looking for active and safe fun for the whole family, this is an offer for you.
We invite young and adult explorers to the town of Oświęcim.

Quest is an generally accessible free game that you can play at any time. All you have to do to get the final password for the treasure – the Memorial Seal – is to carefully read the clues and solve puzzles.
In our quest, we invite you to walk along the Boulevard avenues along the Soła River and the Old Town. A prasoł – a former salt merchant – will be your ingenious guide. Few people know that the town of Oświęcim in the Middle Ages was famous for trading salt, which was floated down the river from the Cracow saltworks. This is where the name of the Soła river flowing through Oświęcim comes from. During the walk, you will learn about the natural wealth and curiosities of the Boulevards on the Soła River, as well as the history of the trade in “white gold.”

Quest is a safe and flexible proposition that can be modified depending on the current pandemic restrictions. It’s mostly an open-air walk. If you do not want to or it will not be possible for sanitary reasons – you do not need to enter any facilities on the route. You can take a break at any time, you adjust the pace of sightseeing to your and your children’s needs. On the route there are numerous eating places serving take-away dishes. After a walk, you can safely rest on a bench by the river, and if you have enough strength – ride roller skates or a bike along numerous alleys or use the public outdoor gym and playground. Could it be more convenient?

Our offer is especially dedicated to families with children. It is a common, interesting and wise entertainment. The tressure – the seal – that we reach at the end of the quest, is a great way of encouraging children to spend time actively. Sightseeing doesn’t have to be boring.

A walk through our quest will take about 1 hour.

You are cordially invited!
